Calcium propionate

Calcium propionate is a food preservative used to inhibit the growth of moulds and bacteria in baked goods, dairy products, and other foods. It's the calcium salt of propionic acid and is known as E282 in the food industry. The FDA considers it "generally recognised as safe"
